Five for Fifty! Celebrating 50 Years of Service

Give to our Fundraising Campaign!  Donate Here! https://givebutter.com/TX87uF

As we mark the 50th anniversary of serving the African American community of Flint, we are proud to launch a special fundraising effort called Five for 50. For half a century, our newspaper has been a trusted voice—uplifting stories, shining a light on issues that matter, and celebrating the resilience of our community.

The Five for 50 campaign is simple but powerful: we are inviting readers, neighbors, and supporters to donate as little as five dollars to honor the paper’s 50 years of service. Just as our publication has always thrived through the collective strength of the community, this campaign is built on the idea that even small contributions can make a big impact when we come together.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 over the next 12 months, funds that will allow us to continue delivering quality journalism, expanding coverage, and preserving our history for future generations.

Whether you give $5 or $500, your support fuels the mission: keeping our stories alive, empowering our voices, and ensuring the African American community in Flint remains informed, connected, and celebrated.

Together, we’ve come this far. With your help, the next 50 years will be even brighter.
