(Flint, Mich., Feb. 24, 2026) – The Flint & Genesee Group will host its 2026 Annual Meeting on March 25, 2026. With the theme “Partnering with Purpose,” the program will reflect on the power of partnership to navigate new opportunities and changing landscapes for the betterment of Flint & Genesee.
The event will also feature a keynote from Bobby Mukkamala, MD, a board-certified otolaryngologist-head and neck surgeon and president of the American Medical Association.
Deeply committed to his hometown, Dr. Mukkamala returned to Flint after completing his medical training at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago in 2000. Today, he shares an office with his wife, Dr. Nita Kulkarni, an obstetrician-gynecologist, and together, they have been deeply involved in the region’s revitalization.
In addition to his leadership role at the AMA, Dr. Mukkamala has served as a member of the Michigan State Medical Society Board of Directors since 2011, as board chair for two years, and as its president. He is also a past president of the Genesee County Medical Society (GCMS) and continues to serve on the GCMS Board of Directors. Additionally, he is a trustee of the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and board member of the Foundation for Flint, which is working to increase access to high-quality early education for children.
“In both business and medicine, Dr. Bobby has been a great partner to the Flint & Genesee community over the years,” said Tim Herman, CEO of the Flint & Genesee Group. “We’re excited to have him with us at this year’s annual meeting, and I know our attendees will walk away energized about what’s ahead.”
Prior to the keynote, the Group will share its successes from the last year as it continues to work toward the shared economic vision of positioning Genesee County as a top-five community in Michigan based on jobs, talent, livability, and equity by 2040. It will look at the achievements of each of its four divisions, which include the Flint & Genesee Chamber, the Flint & Genesee Economic Alliance, Flint & Genesee Education & Talent, and Explore Flint & Genesee.
The public is invited to attend the Group’s annual meeting on March 25, 3-4:30 p.m. at the FIM Capitol Theatre in downtown Flint. Doors open at 2 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased on the Flint & Genesee Group’s website at FlintandGenesee.org.
