Metropolitan Baptist Tabernacle will host a special dedication program on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in honor of the late Rev. Dr. A. J. Pointer. Rev. Pointer was the Pastor of Metropolitan Baptist Tabernacle for forty + years. He dedicated his life to helping others. Rev. Pointer was a pioneer in the city and a great leader among the ministers here in the city and the state. He served as the Moderator and State President. He was a great leader in the Great Lakes District Association. He was a Man with a vision. He led this church through several new additions and one of his last projects was to build a Family Life Center. On Sunday, April 27, 2014, at 1:30 p.m., we are going to dedicate and name the center, the Rev. Dr. A. J. Pointer Family Center. For more information, you may contact the church office at 787-9731.
