Communities First, Inc. to host Healthy You 2025 Resource Fair

Free event will offer health, financial, and wellness resources to the community

Flint, MI – Communities First, Inc., a leading nonprofit organization in Flint, will host its second annual Healthy You 2025 Resource Fair on building health and wealth. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at the Community Enrichment Center (formerly Christ Enrichment Center) located at 322 E. Hamilton St. Flint, MI 48505.

This fair brings together a variety of local organizations and experts to provide valuable resources, information and services aimed at improving both health and financial well-being.

This free community event is also part of Show Me the Money Day, a statewide initiative in partnership with the Community Economic Development Association of Michigan (CEDAM).

Show Me the Money Day promotes access to free financial resources, affordable financial products and services and tax-season education helping families and individuals take control of their finances for the year ahead.

“Healthy You 2025 is an excellent opportunity for the community to access crucial information about health, wealth and well-being all in one place,” said Phillip Walker II, program associate at Communities First, Inc.

Walker added: “This is our second year hosting the event, and it continues to grow thanks to the support of more community partners. We are excited to offer a variety of valuable resources to attendees that will help them thrive in 2025 and beyond.”

The event will feature over 20 local organizations and professionals dedicated to improving the lives of Flint-area residents. Participants will have the chance to connect with experts from a range of fields, including health, taxes and financial wellness. Organizations such as Hurley Medical Center, Flint Strive, Dort Financial Credit Union, Flint Healthcare Employment Opportunities Program – Greater Flint Health Coalition and more will be on hand to provide knowledge and resources to help individuals improve their physical and mental health and achieve financial stability.

“We are excited to bring the Healthy You Resource Fair back for a second year,” said Glenn Wilson, president and CEO of Communities First, Inc.

Wilson added: “Providing education on financial, mental and physical well-being shouldn’t be something done behind closed doors, and we are happy to be a part of opening those doors and creating opportunities for everyone to learn. Education is empowerment and is a step forward in achieving our motto of empowering people and building communities.”
