City of Flint to Host Opioid Town Hall, Thursday, Aug. 22

Mayor Dr. Karen Weaver will hold an “Opioid Town hall” meeting to address developments in the lawsuit filed against opioid manufacturers and distributors on behalf of the City of Flint. Residents will have an opportunity to learn about local programs designed to address those addicted and impacted, as well as the impact on existing prescriptions.

The Town Hall will be held Thursday, Aug. 22 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Berston Field House, 3300 Saginaw, Street, Flint.

In addition to addressing the latest developments, residents will have an opportunity to address concerns regarding the crisis in their community. The Flint Police department, Fire department, Chief Public Health Advisor and City Attorney will also be hand to discuss the crisis and offer ways that residents can assist in helping.

Residents are encouraged to attend the town hall and let their voice be heard.
