City Clerk hours for Nov. 8 election

The Flint City Clerk’s Office is proud to serve the Flint community to ensure that the right to vote is able
to be exercised. With regard to the November 8, 2022 General Election, the following information is being
made available to keep the public informed of their voting rights.
* The Clerk’s Office is open on a daily basis, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. In
addition, the office will be open on Saturday, November 5, 2022, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., to allow
voting by absentee ballot over the counter.
*Friday, November 4, 2022, at 5 p.m. is the deadline for the City Clerk’s Office to receive absentee
ballot requests from registered voters in the city of Flint for the election to be held on Tuesday,
November 8, 2022.
* Registered voters have the right to apply for, receive and submit an absentee ballot in person at
the City Clerk’s Office until Monday, November 7, 2022, at 4 p.m., the day before the election.
* The final deadline for voters to return an absentee ballot to the Clerk’s office is 8 p.m., Tuesday,
November 8, 2022. Absentee ballots received after the deadline cannot be counted.
* Voters have the right to register for an election and immediately obtain an absentee voter ballot
during the 14 days leading up to an election and on Election Day.
*Voters who register to vote, or update their address on Election Day, may vote by absentee in the
Clerk’s Office.
* The Clerk’s Office and the voting locations will open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. on Election Day.
