Catholic Charities can help with evictions and mortgage payments

In light of the recent Supreme Court decision to end the moratorium on evictions Catholic Charities wants the community be aware that they are still able to provide assistance with people in danger of being evicted due to COVID-19. COVID Emergency Rental Assistance (CERA)  MSHDA (Michigan State Housing Development Authority) has federal funds available to help tenants facing pandemic-related hardships avoid eviction while also ensuring landlords can recoup owed rent through the COVID Emergency Rental Assistance (CERA) program. MSHDA administers CERA through its statewide network of local nonprofit agencies, and Catholic Charities is providing assistance for Genesee County.

Catholic Charities is also providing assistance to those struggling to pay their mortgages as a result of job loss due to COVID-19.
