(Flint, Michigan)- Buckham Alley Theatre is bringing “PLANT SECURITY” to the newly renovated stage at GFAC (Greater Flint Arts Council), located at 816 Saginaw Street, Flint, MI 48502.
“PLANT SECURITY” is written and directed by local playwright, Richard W. Hingst. It is a hilarious and heartfelt look at the people who kept a 1980s midwestern auto plant running – or at least tried to.
When a loyal, wisecracking security team learns their jobs may be outsourced to a cheaper outside firm, they have until year’s end to prove their irreplaceable value. What follows is a series of misadventures, colorful characters and unexpected moments of friendship that remind us why real people, real places and a little bit of chaos can make for a great story.
Inspired by true stories, “PLANT SECURITY” is a comedy about work, dignity and the people who make it all happen.
The community is invited to both support the theatre and enjoy the play October 2, 3 and 10 at 7 p.m. and/or October 4 and 11 at 2 p.m.
