AROSE Scholarship now open for high school seniors

The  AROSE Scholarship is now open for high school seniors!
Since 2019, AROSE has awarded over $181,500 in scholarship funding, and more than ever, it is important that our students have the financial support needed to embark on their post-secondary journeys.
The AROSE Scholars Program is a scholarship and student success program for Black and Brown high school graduates from Illinois and Michigan. Scholars will receive a renewable scholarship for the first 2 years (up to $10,000 total), mentorship opportunities, and leadership & personal development training.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • African American, Latino/Hispanic, Pacific Islander (excluding Asian), or American Indian
  • U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident
  • Graduating high school senior
  • Be enrolled to attend an accredited college or university, training program (barber college, cosmetology school, etc.), or other post-secondary programs during Fall 2025
  • Primary resident of Illinois and Michigan 
  • Minimum 2.75 GPA as of the end of the prior semester
  • Have overcome adversity, hardship, or a traumatic experience. Trauma is a distressing event that can show up in many different forms.
