FLINT, Mich. — Brownell STEM Academy, Lions 18B,and Donations With Love Foundation, Inc. will host a Community Shoe Drive and Giveaways event on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 12 – 4 p.m. at 6302 Oxley Drive, Flint, MI 48504.
The event will provide shoes, clothing, free haircuts and other resources to children and families in the community. This year’s theme, “If Shoes Could Talk: Step Into My Story,” highlights the importance of helping every child begin the school year with confidence, dignity and the supplies they need.
Community members are encouraged to donate:
- New shoes for children
- Toddler and youth-size shoes
- New or gently worn clothing
The event will also feature special guests Hustlers on the Move, along with family-friendly activities and giveaways.

Organizers invite local residents, churches, businesses and community organizations to support the effort through donations, volunteering and sharing the event with families in need.
