Flint, MI — Councilwoman Dr. Ladel Lewis, representing Flint’s 2nd Ward, has been nationally recognized as one of the “Local Government 250: Champions of Public Service,” an honor presented in partnership with the National Academy of Public Administration.
This prestigious recognition celebrates 250 public servants from across the country who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication and measurable impact in their communities. Honorees were nominated by colleagues and community members for their commitment to advancing democracy and improving the lives of residents through public service.
Dr. Lewis, a lifelong advocate for Flint residents, has built her leadership around community engagement, public safety, youth development and neighborhood revitalization. Her work centers on everything from championing safe spaces and educational initiatives to advocating for equitable resources and infrastructure.
