BRIGHTON, Mich., March 10, 2025 —The Lake Trust Foundation, committed to expanding educational opportunities for Michigan residents, is now accepting applications for its annual scholarship program. The 2025 New Beginnings Scholarship and the Michigan Impact Scholarship will provide financial support to individuals pursuing education in high-demand fields, reinforcing the Foundation’s dedication to strengthening local communities.

“These scholarships provide Michigan residents the chance to pursue their passions, build successful careers and contribute to strengthening our state’s workforce in high-demand industries. By supporting these efforts, we’re helping to shape the future of Michigan’s communities and its economy,” said Amanda Huszti-Vickers, managing director of the Lake Trust Foundation.

2025 New Beginnings Scholarship
The New Beginnings Scholarship offers financial support to individuals pursuing careers in high-demand skilled trades and technical fields such as welding, plumbing, nursing and construction. Four scholarships, worth up to $7,500 each, will be awarded to Michigan residents who are enrolled in or planning to enroll in a technical education program, trade school or a technical field at a Michigan college or university in 2025. These funds can be used for tuition, trade equipment, certifications and other related costs.
