Flint, MI – February 3, 2025- The City of Flint is proud to announce the award winners of the Community-Based Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative (CVIPI) Grant, a critical investment in reducing violence and fostering community safety. The formal grant award presentation will take place on Wednesday, February 5, at 5 p.m. at the City Hall Dome.
This event will bring together city officials, community leaders and violence prevention advocates to discuss how this funding will support strategic intervention and prevention efforts in Flint. The grant will enable the expansion of community-based solutions, outreach programs, and partnerships aimed at addressing the root causes of violence while promoting healing and empowerment within impacted neighborhoods.
“The CVIPI grant is a game-changer for Flint,” said Mayor Sheldon Neeley. “This funding will allow us to implement evidence-based strategies, strengthen partnerships and make a lasting impact in reducing violence in our community.”
