The City of Flint is encouraging local non-profits to apply for funding

The City of Flint is requesting proposals from non-profit organizations interested in applying for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) and HOME program grants. These grants provides funding to equip non-profits in being able to carry out several basic needs programs for residents throughout the city. The deadline for application is 5 p.m. February 2, 2024. The grant year for these programs are July 1, 2024-June 30, 2024.

There are several information sessions around this funding planned. These sessions will be held;

  • January 9, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Hasselbring Senior Center located at 1002 W. Home Ave.
  • January 18, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Hasselbring Senior Center located at 1002 W. Home Ave.

The requests for proposal documents and information can be found on https://www.cityofflint.com/community-economic-development/

PDFs of completed proposals must be submitted to the City of Flint’s Community and Economic Development Department at communitydevelopment@cityofflint.com.  Questions regarding the RFP process can also be submitted to this email address.
