At around 7:53 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 4, a 30-year-old Black man was found shot on the 1200 block of Home Ave. Upon their arrival, responding officers found the man with gunshot wounds, dead on the scene. At this time, the suspect is unknown.

Although the month and year just began, this shooting is one of several that has already occurred in 2022 in the city.
At approximately 12:30 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 3, while on patrol, MSP Troopers came across a man on the ground near E. Carpenter / Bellview St. The male subject had an apparent gunshot wound to the forehead and was dead. No suspect information is available currently.

At around 7:14 p.m. on Sunday Jan. 2, two white males were found with gunshot wounds on the 600 block of Leland St. The suspect in this incident was pronounced dead on scene. The victim was transported to Hurley Medical Center and later pronounced dead.

At approximately 3:30 a.m. on Saturday Jan. 1, on the 1600 block of Leith Street, a 31-year old man was found dead from a gunshot wound. No suspects are in custody currently. The incident remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact D/Tpr. Christopher Kane.
