The Genesee County Treasurer’s office will be closed for two weeks following a COVID-19 exposure in the department.

Treasurer Deb Cherry encourages taxpayers to use any of their other payment options of mail,
online, 24 hour drop box or the automated phone payment line at 877-805-2856 during this time.

A temporary phone line has been established for staff to assist taxpayers while working remotely. If you require assistance for 2019 or prior taxes, please call 810-295-1181 or email your questions to taxinquiry@geneseecountymi.gov.

Unfortunately, 2020 taxes cannot be paid online or via the phone option. If you are trying to pay a 2020 tax. You must either send a check or money order by mail (1101 Beach St. Rm 114 Flint, MI 48502), or use the 24 hour drop box. Please include your property ID number on your check/money order payment.

“I apologize for the
inconvenience this closure has caused taxpayers,” said Cherry. “However, for the safety of our staff and citizens, we felt this was the best course of action.”

The Treasurer’s Office is expected to reopen on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 8 a.m.
