Press conference to be held discussing how candidates can appear on August ballot

Genesee County Clerk John J. Gleason conducts a press conference on the Circuit Court House steps (Beach St. side) at 11 a.m. April 16 to discuss how candidates can file to appear on the August 2020 ballot.

Due to Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Stay Home, Stay Safe order, the Circuit Court House and Genesee County Clerk’s office is closed to the public and no in-person transactions/applications are being accepted.

The following election related essential services are available to the public through remote access:

  • Candidates wishing to file an affidavit of identity may mail in the notarized form along with either the filing fee or petitions.

  • Newly formed campaign committees must file their first/original statement of organization (campaign finance) by mail.

  • Existing campaign committees who wish to amend a statement of organization or file a report (quarterly, pre-election, post-election, etc.) may e-mail their signed documents to elections@co.genesee.mi.us
