Mayor’s Office Announces State of the City Address

Mayor Karen Weaver’s office has announced the date, time and location of the 2018 State of the City Address. The event is FREE and open to the public.  Tickets are required for fire code purposes only.  To obtain a ticket, residents can visit the City of Flint Website -(www.cityofflint.com).

In announcing the upcoming address, the Mayor’s office issued the following statement:

Greetings!

This correspondence serves as an invitation for you to join me as I present the “2018 State of the City Address” on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. at the newly renovated Capitol Theatre, located at 140 E 2nd St, Flint, MI 48502. I am excited to highlight the accomplishments that we have made together and to celebrate the strength, resiliency and undeterred fight of Flint residents.

While we pay tribute to the great progress that has been made, we know there is still much more work to be done.  My address will be an opportunity for me to provide you with details on the path that my administration, and I, have set in place to help bring forth the rebirth, rebuilding and rejuvenation of Flint. We would be honored to have you present at this important event.
