Flint, MI – January 23, 2025 – The Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village (SBEV Flint) invites the Flint-area community to a free Community Breakfast on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. This event will be held at SBEV’s new temporary location, the Insight Institute of Neurosurgery & Neuroscience (IINN), 4400 S. Saginaw St, Flint, MI 48507, from 8:30 -11:30 a.m.

This special event provides a chance for community members to explore SBEV’s new space, learn more about its programming, and network with staff, partners, and other community leaders. Guests will also hear about the upcoming programming lineup and SBEV’s plans to continue serving Flint’s youth and families during this exciting transition period.

“At SBEV, we’re committed to empowering the Flint community through quality programs and opportunities, and we’re excited to connect with our neighbors at our new location,” said Audrey Medlin, Director of Education at SBEV. “This breakfast is an opportunity to not only share a meal but also engage with the community, answer questions, and show how we plan to continue building on our mission.”

Swimming is being offered at SBEV’s new temporary location.

The event is free and open to the public. Community members are encouraged to stop by to meet the SBEV team, learn more about the organization’s mission and discover ways to get involved.
