The New McCree Theatre featured another sold out event on August 30, 2025, which was produced by SaxMan Productions. The concert featured five different regional sax players, who played together and also did a few solos.
The featured saxophonists were: Zeg Hill, Ulysses BT Bailey, Antwain Kirkland, Ken Muldrew and Dexter Graham. The music selected was composed by Grover Washington Jr. It was a joyful trifecta of exceptional local talent, great music and a very happy audience.

A special moment was when they presented and honored Flint’s sax legend, Sherwood Pea.
Mr. Pea taught and supported many local musicians throughout their lives in many ways. Mr. Pea also played a solo.

On breaks, raffle ticket prizes were handed out, the top gifts being cash and very large TVs, as well as other items.

Mr. Harold Ashburn was also given an award for being the best dresser in Flint.
Pastor Scott Beck (of Bethesda Temple on Leland St.) and his wife Tammy were also in the house. He let us know that the next chain Prayer Day will be September 29, on the jail lawn in downtown Flint.
A rose was given to each lady in attendance at the end of the concert, as if they were a promise that SaxMan Productions will plan more concerts in the future!
