Salvation Army L.I.F.E. Center Open House taking place May 20

From 12-4 p.m., on May 20, The Salvation Army L.I.F.E. Center will celebrate their new way of service to the community. The new and improved services will include sports, skills trades, e-sports, gamming, literacy, music production, robotics, arts & crafts, nutrition classes, meals, stem programs, choir, violin, character counts, teen club and so much more.

  • There will be a presentation at 1 p.m., with welcoming remarks from Coach Linnell Jones-McKenney, followed by  a check presentation with Dawn Hanna & Darrin Hanna Ph.D.

The special guest and speaker will be Earl Cureton “The Twirl”, community ambassador for the Detroit Pistons.

  • Representatives, community leaders and elected officials will be also be in attendance.
  • Health Fair Partner tables of information to share with families and participants will be available from 12-4 p.m.
  • 2023 summer camp registration and information will be available to families with school age children.
  • Bounce houses, games, refreshments, music and entertainment will complete the event.
