Nominating Petitions Available For 2019 Mayoral Election

Starting Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019, nominating petitions will be available in the Flint City Clerk’s Office for the upcoming Mayoral election.  In accordance with the newly adopted Flint City Charter, candidates for this position are required to be a registered elector of the City for one year prior to the filing deadline of Tuesday, April 23, 2019, not later than 4:00 p.m.

Under the new City Charter, nominating petitions must be signed by at least 600 registered voters of the City of Flint and must be returned to the City Clerk’s on/or before the above mentioned date.

The Mayoral primary election will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, with the top two contenders facing each other in the general election to be held on November 5, 2019.
