Hundreds of turkeys given to local families by Flint area McDonald’s

Flint area McDonald’s helped give some Flint families a happy Thanksgiving this year by handing out hundreds of free turkeys to the families of every Richfield Early Learning Center student on Wed. Nov. 18.

To ensure the complete safety of all students and their families – in this COVID environment, the turkeys were distributed through an easy drive-thru access. No one had to get out of their car as teams of masked and gloved volunteers on site were there to hand off the turkeys.

Rob Spangler was the participaing Flint McDonald’s owner/operator and Shelby Cox was the Flint McDonald’s restaurant manager. Pamela Hardy, superintendent of Richfield Public School Academy and Flint Mayor Sheldon Neeley were also present.

Richfield Early Learning Center is located at 4358 Richfield Road, in Flint.

There are about 500 McDonald’s Restaurants in Michigan with 80 independent owner operators. Together they employ more than 20,000 Michigan people. For more information, visit www.mcdonalds.com, or follow them on Twitter @McDonalds and Facebook at www.facebook.com/mcdonalds.
