Flint City Council has selected new leadership in its regular council elections.

In a 6-3 vote, Council Woman Allie Herkenroder (Ward 7) was elected president of the council. Herkenroder was formally vice-president of the council. She replaced Dennis Pfeiffer (Ward 8).

The council also elected 2nd Ward Councilwoman Ladel Lewis as council vice president.
