Five school board seats up for grabs in the November election

Flint residents interested in serving on the Flint Board of Education can now apply to run
for a seat. Interested persons can apply to be on the ballot for one of the five seats that will be up
for grabs in the November 8, 2022 election. The terms of the seats that will be available are as
follows;
A two-year term seat (currently filled by Allen Gilbert)
A four-year term seat (currently filled by Linda Boose)
Three six-year term seats (currently filled by Chris Del Morone, Danielle Green and Carol
McIntosh).
To apply to run for one of the seats residents must file a petition with the Flint City Clerk’s
office by 4 p.m. July 26, 2022. The clerk’s office is located at City Hall 1101 S. Saginaw St.
on the 2nd floor.
Editor’s note: Those candidates interested in being elected to the Flint School Board must file their petitions with the Flint City Clerk’s Office with at least 40 valid signatures (and no more than 100), or pay a $100 non-refundable filing fee.
