Critical assault occurring April 8 involved a machete

At 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 8, an 61-year-old white adult male was stabbed, slashed and cut multiple times in Riverbank Park, in the area of 1st Avenue and Garland Street, with a machete. According police, the victim was left is critical condition. The suspect was an adult white male, thin build, approximately 6’ tall with curly hair. No suspects are in custody at this time. The incident is under investigation.
