Communities First, Inc. to host public discussion focused on economic development and small business growth in Michigan

  • Flint, Mich. –  Communities First, Inc. (CFI) is inviting the community to  Community Candor LIVE!—a dynamic, in-person conversation on the future of small businesses and economic development in Michigan.

The event will take place on Friday, August 8th from 8 – 9:30 a.m. at General Motors’ historic Durant-Dort Factory One, located at 303 W. Water St., Flint, MI 48503.

The morning will feature an engaging discussion moderated by Glenn Wilson, President and CEO of Communities First, Inc., alongside distinguished panelists:

  • Brian Calley, President & CEO, Small Business Association of Michigan (and former Lieutenant Governor of Michigan)
  • Quentin L. Messer, Jr., CEO, Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC)

“This is more than just a conversation—it’s about creating real opportunities,” Wilson said. “From our Pop-Up Markets to retail space in our new developments to our small business support programs, CFI is committed to building a thriving ecosystem where Michigan’s entrepreneurs can grow and succeed. Economic development events like this bring those efforts to life and align directly with our mission of creating healthy, vibrant communities.”
