FLINT, MI – The City of Flint is set to take over daily operations of the Hasselbring Senior Center in January of 2025. City leaders are inviting members of the community to come together to learn more about the transition and how affect to seniors at Hasselbring. Leaders want to make clear that the center will not be closed and there will be no interruption in services.
The Hasselbring Senior Center is a city owned building. The city announced it would take over services for the seniors after the lease agreement with the current vendor expired, and the Flint City Council did not approve a new agreement. On Thursday, December 19, community members can hear more about the expanded services the city plans to provide for seniors at Hasselbring in the new year.
