Flint Youth Theatre Tour-Writing Team…Flint Repertory Theatre’s Education Department is calling all playwrights, in grades 7-12, to join the FYT Playwriting Team. The team will create a new play(s) for young audiences that will travel around Genesee County. No prior playwriting experience necessary, but imagination and creativity are a must. The first meeting of the FYT Playwriting Team will take place on Thursday, September 6 from 4:30 to 5:30. All students in grades 7-12 are invited to join.
Interviews for director(s) and designers will take place later this fall, followed by auditions for actors.
Flint Youth Theatre Tour-Improv Squad…Flint Repertory Theatre’s Education Department is calling all improvisational actors, in grades 8-12, to join the FYT Improv Squad. The Improv Squad will learn, play and perform improv for audiences around Genesee County. No prior improvisational experience required, but energy and laughter are a must. The first meeting will take place on Friday, September 7 from 4:30 to 5:30pm. All students in grades 8-12 are invited to join.
