and make a lasting impact. The agency is inviting individuals, businesses and organizations to participate in
their “Paint the Town Green” campaign from September 14th to 20th, aimed at inspiring potential mentors to
step up and change the lives of young people in our area.
This simple yet powerful campaign encourages everyone to incorporate the color green in their attire, decorations or social media posts to raise awareness about the mission of BBBS. No fundraising is required—just the enthusiasm and support of members of the community in showcasing the importance of mentorship!
“When every young person has access to a positive mentor, it transforms their lives for the better,” said Lisa
Humphrey, President & CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flint and Genesee County. “Our goal is to empower
youth with a stronger sense of belonging and the opportunity to achieve their full potential.”
This initiative not only promotes awareness of the program, but also encourages individuals to consider
becoming mentors themselves, providing guidance and support to those who need it most. So join BBBS in
creating a sea of green to highlight the vital role mentorship plays in the lives of our youth.
