Flint, Michigan—The Friends of the Library will host a “Summer Garage Sale” used book sale on Saturday, August 16. The sale will be in the garage of the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library, 1026 E. Kearsley St. The time of the event is as follows:
10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
3-4 p.m. (Buy one, get one)
This one day sale features automotive books. The Friends of the Library are also offering BOGO (Buy one, get one) books on spirituality and religion as well as on self-care. Other topics include non-fiction, fiction, crafts, children’s, etc.
Most items are $1. The Friends accept credit cards as well as cash and checks.
Purchasing books at their book sale is a way to support your public library. All proceeds contribute to expanding the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library services and programs.
Another way to show your support is by joining the Friends of the Library. You can sign up during the sale after paying a small fee.
The Friends of the Library is a 501c3 non-profit group organized to advance literacy and life- long learning through fund-raising that directly benefits library services and programs. Members help by their membership fees but also by dedicating volunteer hours to fund-raising activities.
