33-year-old Flint man sentenced this week for sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13

33-year-old Andrew Parker, of Flint, was sentenced this week for sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13.

Parker for convicted in September for first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a victim younger than age 13.

The victims grandmother had flagged down a paramedic with the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, which caused authorities to learn of the crime. Interviews with Parker, the victim and the victim’s family were conducted as part of the investigation.

Parker was sentenced Monday to a 25 year sentence, the mandatory minimum sentence for two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a victim younger than age 13.
