Seven year old boy hit by pickup truck in Grand Blanc

By Tanya Terry

A seven-year-old boy was left in critical condition after getting struck by a pickup truck in Grand Blanc this past Friday, Sept 27.

The incident happened shortly before 5 p.m., in the front of Grand Blanc High School.

Just before the Homecoming Parade, the child was playing football in front of Grand Blanc High School in a grassy area near the front entrance, which is off Saginaw Street. According to witnesses, who were yelling at the driver to stop, the children tackled each other in front of the truck as the driver was getting ready to leave. Unfortunately, the truck hit the child, and the child had to be rushed to the hospital.

Anyone with information or who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Sgt. Nate Guigear of the City of Grand Blanc Police Department at 810-694-1111 ext. x223 or by emailing him at nguigear@cityofgrandblancmi.gov
