At approximately 1:19 p.m., on January 23, 2023 , the City of Flint Police Department responded
to Bethany Christian Services, located at 111 E Court Street regarding an infant child taken by
his biological mother. Wyatt Edward Thompson born July 13, 2021, was attending a scheduled
visitation with his mother Janiel Marie Bunstead, a white female born January 20, 1983. The
visit was being conducted at Bethany Christian services due to Janiel’s custody termination
through the 7 th Judicial Circuit Family Division. During the visit, Janiel left the facility with Wyatt.
Bunstead is 5’3”, 160 lbs. She has blue eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing a
black men’s coat, tights, multicolored socks, and black Nike tennis shoes. Bunstead was last seen
traveling on foot west on Court Street from the facility.
Wyatt Thompson is approximately 2’5”, 22 lbs. He has blue eyes and short blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a gray winter coat, gray pants and blue shoes.
