FLINT, Mich. – Toxic Stress and Resilience: Shifting the balance toward wellness is the topic of the Your Health Lecture Series Thursday, February 22 at 7 p.m. in the Mott Community College (MCC) Event Center.
Dr. Lauren O’Connell will discuss the impact of adverse life experiences in childhood on lifelong health, how toxic stress changes our bodies and what protective factors help build resilience in children and families.
O’Connell is the Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician at Hurley Children’s Center, a Pediatric Health Services Researcher, and Assistant Professor for the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.
