Snow White” Brings Fairy Tale Theater and Family Fun to Flint and Genesee County

“Snow White” Brings Fairy Tale Theater and Family Fun to Flint and Genesee County – Free and Open to the Public.

Once again Flint’s Kearsley Park Players take their fairy tale theater for children and families to parks and playgrounds across the city and county. “Snow White” is this year’s fairy tale and the 25-minute show is perfect for young children but fun for the whole family. Due to the short length, all shows will start promptly. All performances are free. The play is directed by Kay Kelly.

This beloved fairy tale features a beautiful princess, a handsome prince, and a wicked queen with a poison apple along with a magic mirror and a forest full of creatures in lavish costumes. The cast ranges from 3-year-olds to adults in a charming story of Good versus Evil.

“Snow White” opens at Kearsley Park on Thursday, July 10, at 7 pm. On Friday, July 11, the Kearsley Park Players will take “Sleeping Beauty” on the road to Linden County Park’s Clover Beach for a 7 pm performance.

On Saturday, July 12 “Snow White” comes to For Mar Nature Preserve at 3 pm. The traveling company then moves on to Flushing County Park that same Saturday with a 7 pm performance. This year’s production will end on Sunday, July 13 with a 3 pm performance at Mott Park in Flint.

All performances are free.  Please bring your own lawn chairs everywhere except Kearsley Park. This program is made possible by a grant from the Ruth Mott Foundation. Reservations not required.  For more information call (810) 845-4050 or go to www.kearsleyparkplayers.com.

This performance is part of “2014 Theatre in OUR Parks”, a collaboration between the City of Flint Parks and Recreation Department and Genesee County Parks Commission.
