New Phone Line Provides Information on Resources for Flint Residents

Flint residents are now able access information on filters, water test kits and other community resources through a new City of Flint line.  The line is available Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The telephone number is 810-766-7106.

The new phone line was opened in response to the closing of CORE, which officially closed on Dec. 31, 2018.  CORE is the Community Outreach Resident Education Program that was launched in response to the Flint water crisis.

“We knew that with CORE closing, residents would need to find out where to get filters, test kits and the other resources that are still available to them”, said Jameca Patrick-Singleton, chief recovery officer for the City of Flint. “We are fully committed to providing information to residents and to make sure we address their concerns about filters and test kit availability,” Patrick-Singleton said.
