Music Is In The Air As Ebenezer Ministries Prepares For “Gospel Under The Sun”

Ebenezer Ministries and Vernon Brown Productions are looking forward to hosting its 8th annual Gospel Under the Sun concert. As in past years, Ebenezer Ministries will bring some of the best national and local talent into the spotlight.Gospel Under the Sun is an annual event
in which renowned gospel artist sing songs that get your toes tapping, offers food for the soul and mesmerizes the audience.
The concert is known for bringing in gospel artist from across the world and this year will feature guest artist, Karen Clark-Sheard, Ann Nesby, Cody Holley and Derrick Milan & the Krew. The concert will showcase local talent, including Albert Strickland and Cho’ Zen, Pastor Tonya Bailey and The Michael Maher Band.
Gospel Under the Sun features traditional gospel music as well as gospel rap, some songs will be more temporary in nature, with audience participation. In addition to the vibrant music, the concert will offer a variety of events including vendors, activities for children and entertainment for the entire family. Ebenezer Ministries, a church that cares about the community, wants to spread the Gospel, “the good news” through song, throughout Genesee County.
The concert is hosted in such a way that everyone would feel welcome and safe to come and enjoy the experience. Gospel music is a great way to bring the entire community together no matter the race, age or religion; to uplift and show kindness to one another. Concert goers are welcome and encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
The Gospel Under the Sun concert will take place rain or shine; noon-sunset, Saturday, June 27 at Ebenezer Ministries Amphitheater, located at 2130 S. Center Road, in Burton. The concert is free of charge.
Gospel Under the Sunwill conclude Sunday, June 28 at Ebenezer Ministries’ 11:00 a.m. service;with guest speaker, Rev. Omarosa; television personality from "The Apprentice."
Rev. Omarosa, known as one of the most powerful women in reality television, currently appears on “The Preachers of LA” on Oxygen Network, “Raising Whitley,”on the Oprah Winfrey Network and as church announcer for “Lift Every Voice” on the BET Network. Reverend Omarosa is the assistant pastor at the Weller Street Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles. Her greatest passion is her international and domestic missionary work, as well as her lifelong work with at-risk youth and the homeless.
