Local nonprofit conveying policy discussion and community Q&A
Flint, Mich. – Communities First, Inc. (CFI), a local nonprofit community development corporation, recently announced the first Community Candor LIVE! will occur from 8– 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 9, at GM’s Factory One, located at 303 W Water St. Flint, MI 48503.
‘We’re excited to create opportunities for important conversations about issues that impact our community” said Joel Arnold, planning and advocacy manager at Communities First.
“Through our work, we strive to empower neighbors with the information they need to lead change,” Arnold added. “We’re excited for this first event in a series of roundtables to come focusing on important issues that face communities across the region.”

At the in-person event, CFI will host an engaging panel discussion and Q&A with state and local leaders such as Senator John Cherry, Michigan’s 27th Senate District and Genesee County Commission Vice Chair, Dale Weighill.
“By bring together different levels of government alongside diverse members of civic life, we hope to cultivate opportunities for collaboration,” said Glenn Wilson, president and CEO of Communities First.
