Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church will host a free
family expo on Saturday, July 18th from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm at the church. Pastor Jennings, an advocate for the Flint and surrounding communities had the vision to host an expo this year. The event is sponsored by Grace Emmanuel’s Women's, Men's and Seniors Ministries and is open to the public. Many community partners have signed on to sponsor or participate in the expo. The Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce has placed Grace Emmanuel’s expo on their "Tourist for the Day" bus route and schedule, so buses will arrive throughout the day. Other sponsors include Michigan State University’s Cooperative Extension, Walgreen, Meijer, Flint School of Therapeutic Massage, and the Valley Area on Aging to name a few. The theme for the expo is Faith, Fun and Fitness and the expo provides a one stop opportunity for its members and the community to have access to activities that minister to every member of the family. The expo features a "Green Zone" which focuses on clean living and the importance of Healthy Cooking & Healthy Eating. A "Fitness Zone" for Adults &Youth which will feature Fitness Classes, Zumba Classes, and Gospel Line Dance Exercises. A "Relaxation, Balance & Meditation Zone" that highlights living a stress free life.
