Genesee County Students Receive Wanda Dover Educational Scholarship

FLINT, Mich.–Three local students received the Wanda Dover Educational Scholarship for their achievements. Tenajah Redds of Grand Blanc, Alaina Strauss of Burton and Emily Morrison of Linden were recognized at Charity UMC on Sunday, April 28 in Flint. The Wanda Dover Educational Scholarship recognizes students for their academics, extra-curricular activities and community service.

The scholarship is open every year to graduating high school seniors in Genesee County. Students interested in the scholarship should contact the Charity UMC Higher Education Committee at 810- 789-2961 and an application will be mailed when it becomes available.

Charity United Methodist Church believes in serving God and others while addressing needs of the community. The Higher Education Committee at Charity provides mentoring, workshops and guidance in addition to scholarships to college-bound students. Fred Bowden is the Pastor.
