Genesee County Friend of the Court Conducting Back to School Blitz

The Genesee County Friend of the Court will be conducting a Friend of the Court Back to School Blitz from September 3, 2019 through September 20, 2019. During this time Friend of the Court Deputies will be conducting a number of enforcement efforts focused on cases with outstanding arrearages and noncustodial parents with civil bench warrants.

During this Blitz, the Friend of the Court deputies and caseworkers will focus on collecting monies owed to custodial parents, many who are at or below the federal poverty level, in an effort to provide for children as they begin the 2019/2020 school year. Individuals with active civil bench warrants can avoid arrest by contacting the Genesee County Friend of the Court at (810) 257-3300. Anyone appearing at Friend of the Court offices and who attempts to resolve their unpaid child support obligations will be given immunity. Any questions regarding this initiative should be directed to John Battles, Director of the Genesee County Friend of the Court at (810) 257-3173.
