Free Family Concert with youth string group at the Flint Public Library –The Saline Fiddlers

The Saline Fiddlers (Saline, Michigan) are a premier youth fiddling show band. They will present two FREE concerts at the Flint Public Library, 1026 E. Kearsley Street, Saturday, December 20, 2 and 3pm. They blend traditional fiddle tunes with a philharmonic size wave of sound. Their fusion of folk, bluegrass, mountain music, western swing, Celtic tunes, and American classics starts toes tapping and hands clapping. Come hear some toe-tapping fiddling at the library!

Since 1994, the Saline Fiddlers have set the standard for extracurricular music programs. The group began with a simple idea: introduce an alternative music education to public school students. It has grown into a model of instruction and motivation that is being emulated across the nation. Yet more importantly, it isn example of what young adults can achieve if given a direction and the opportunity to explore, and pursue their own interests.

The Saline Fiddlers have performed all over the US and several foreign countries. They have been honored to perform three times at the White House and Kennedy Center.
