Flint Church to Celebrate Anniversary and Building Dedication

On Sunday April 19, 2015, the Saints of God Church’s Fourth Church Anniversary and New Building Dedication will culminate at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Patrick Sanders will deliver the message and be accompanied by the New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church Family.

The church was founded by the Holy Spirit and organized by the Rev. Alfred L. Harris, Sr., on February 19, 2011 at 5905 North Saginaw Street in Flint, Michigan. Min. Alfred L. Harris, Jr., became youth pastor during this initial gathering.

The church’s vision and mission is established upon seven scripturally endorsed Core Values: Giving, Biblical Authority, Prayer and Fasting, Love, Worship, Leadership and Evangelism. This emphasis has allowed the membership to continue to increase from its original 100 charter members. After worshipping on Saginaw Street from February to November, the church moved to its second location at 528 W. Pierson Road in December of 2011. In August of 2014, our permanent church home was purchased at 2200 Forest Hill Avenue in Flint, Michigan.

The first worship service was held in our fellowship hall on the first Sunday in November and our first worship service in our remodeled sanctuary was held on the first Sunday in December. In addition to having a parsonage, we are blessed to have access to over 29,000 square feet which includes sanctuary seating for 400, commercial kitchen, fellowship hall, small chapel, parlor and kitchenette, offices and classrooms. God is Good!

You are also invited to worship with us at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday the 19th when Pastor Martez Warren of Church Without Walls will bring the message, and on Wednesday the 15th of April at 7:00 p.m. when Pastor Sean Payne of the Galilean Baptist Church will be the preacher. The Saints of God Church continues to experience the divine “Favor of God”. Please join us at these events and help us celebrate!
