Blackwell A.M.E. Zion Church will be celebrating the “Man of God”, Rev. Anthony G. Morris and First Lady Zelda Morris on April 18th & 19th. We will have an appreciation banquet on Saturday April 18th at the IMA Brookwood Golf & Banquet Center in Burton, MI. We will have an” Appreciation Service” on Sunday morning April 19th at 11 a.m. The theme will be: “A Pastor with a Heart to Serve”. There will be a surprise Guest Speaker for the service. Rev. Anthony G. Morris has been in the ministry for 23 years and the music ministry for 27 years. Pastor Morris is an accomplished musician and has played professionally for many years. Rev. Anthony G. Morris and his partner of 25 years (Zelda Morris) have been assigned to Blackwell for the past 8 years by the Dynamic Detroit District of the A. M. E. Zion Church. Rev. Morris’ vision for our church has been for us to grow spiritually and show our love for God in renewed outreach to others. His legacy will exemplify the following scripture:“And in every work that he began in the service of the house
of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered – 2 Chronicles 31:21 {KJV}
