Adrian Peterson Reinstated; May Possibly Be Traded

After completing the requirements for reinstatement (which included counseling and a treatment plan); Minnesota Vikings, Adrian Peterson, is allowed to play football again in the NFL. Peterson was suspended November 18, 2014 for violation of the NFL Personal Conduct Policy. Peterson was charged for beating his 4 year old son.

The Vikings stated they are looking forward to Peterson rejoining the team. Peterson, on the other hand, has stated he doesn't want to play for the Vikings and would like to be traded. The superstar running back is unhappy in Minnesota and wants a fresh start. On the flip side, Adrian may not have a choice but to play for the Vikings.

The six time Pro Bowler has proved capable of putting a team on his back in the past, but if he is forced to play for the Vikings against his will then there is reason to wonder if he will play at the same level everyone is accustomed to.

Several teams have shown interest in obtaining Peterson but they will have to pay a hefty price. Keep in mind Peterson is 30 years old and has been out of the game for about a year. Teams have to ask themselves if paying a high price is worth it in the long run. Not only that, but there are good number of running backs in this years draft to possibly choose from.
